How lovely to have such a special visitor in your yard! It must mean that your garden is being very permaculturish and native creatures think it is a great place to visit!
Kim 'twas nice to see him and I love your permaculturish vision, but our yard is pretty much surrounded by bush. To our west (where he was) we only need to walk 5 metres to be in the bush. Heaps of roos, wallabies etc. We are very lucky!

Hi Liz, They are cute but silly. They curl in a ball for protection but if you sit still enough they figure you're not there. This one nearly touched my leg as he waddled off! Love your new picture. Very farmerish!
How exciting to have one in your yard. We are surrounded by farmland so miss out on seeing a lot of wildlife. Very cute photos.

A friend of ours accidentally ran over one and it punctured his tyres leaving several spikes stuck there. Poor thing.
Fiona we are very lucky because we are also surrounded by farmland but live on a bush block so I think we get extra wild life. They can come here for shelter.
And yes Evi they are gorgeous. Who's the poor thing?! Man or Echidna?
