Please Band Together to Help a Fellow Blogger

Kim at THE LITTLE BLACK COW needs help!  The coal seam gas miners are sniffing around near her.  We need to stop these huge companies ruining our land!

There is a public meeting scheduled for this Sunday the fifth of March.  If you are close enough to get there, PLEASE attend!  Surely with numbers we can have some say?!

BELFORD/LOWER BELFORD COMMUNITY MEETING

5TH March 2012

An invitation is extended to the residents of Belford & Lower Belford to a meeting at Kirkton Public School on 5th March 2012 at 7.00pm to discuss the implications of Coal Seam Gas Exploration and extraction. Guest speakers will be present on the night to discuss their experiences with CSG and to answer questions.



MEETING WITH AGL AT KIRKTON PUBLICSCHOOL



RECENT RESEARCH INDICATES THE FOLLOWING:UNTIL you are FULLY INFORMEDand where necessary have sought the appropriate legal advice as to the implications of CSG exploration it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that:



you DO NOT sign any agreement with the gas companies



and that you DO NOT give any verbal agreement for the gas companies to access your land

Thanks, for the publicity. I must note , that the official meeting with AGL was last week ...in which people were blinded by science at times , but people did attend because of their concerns. This meeting that Linda has added, is the meeting where the community is getting together to talk about ways to combat the idea. So any positive ideas are always welcome ,perhaps someone has already battled these people and has something that has worked.

Here in QLD we have the sdame issues. She can go to http://lockthegate.org.au/ for help and they have a lot of good info to use.
