Yellow

I like yellow!  It's sunshiney and buttery and happy and fun!  I'm joining in with Evi at Sister Sun for her colour a week.

Yellow is for lemons

 and flowers on zucchinis

 and sunflowers that delight children.........

Yellow is for tomatoes drizzled with balsamic vinegar and baked with other vegies and garlic.

Yellow is for eggs

scrambled on toast.

 Yellow is for citrus cleaner

and yellow can be golden like the beautiful honey my bees make.

There is yellow in the laundry

and in the garden too!

Red

Red!  I'm joining in with Evi at Sister Sun for her weekly thoughts on a different colour.  This week, beyond reading Evi's, I've held off on reading the other posts until I have done mine.  I'll pop around to see you soon.

Red!  Not my favourite colour.  I see red as brash and hard.  Perhaps a little intimidating.  It's a very strong colour and can't really be ignored.  It's demanding and sometimes angry.  But maybe these are my thoughts on man-made red because I love the colour of a strawberry, apple, raspberry etc.

Mind you, even in my flower garden I steer away from red.  I have mainly pinks, purples and whites.

All this being said, on a grey, bleak winter's day or just a day that I'm in a particular mood, I love to wear red!  It gives me energy and makes me feel alive!

Oh I don't know!!!  Do I like red or not??!!!

Red is for tomatoes

and for rosellas

and for strawberries

Pink

I'm joining in with Evi at Sister Sun.  Photos and thoughts about a particular colour each week.  This week is pink.

I've always had a lot of pink in my life!  I'm a bit of a girly girl myself, and then I have four daughters.  We have seen a lot of pink in our lives.  In fact, poor Danny Boy's favourite colour was pink for quite a long time.  What choice did he have living in a house full of pink?!  Now that he has begun school he likes yellow.

Now tonight, when I was telling the girls I was going to do this post, I looked around and nearly fell over to see that every girl was wearing some pink.  I got hubby to take this photo.

 So.........      Pink is for girls
                      and potatoes
                        and the clouds at sunset
                        and marshmallows
                        and new born granddaughters
                         and for roses
